On Wednesday afternoon, Truck 227 was requested on a 2nd alarm for an elevator room on fire on the 10th story of a commercial structure in the 2400-blk of Ardmore Blvd. 227TK arrived on scene and was tasked for ventilation on the 9th and 10th floor. Due to an underground parking garage, all ladder trucks were forced to step up on Ardmore Blvd. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire. A moderate smoke condition from the 3rd floor to the 10th floor was ventilated. Units operated on scene for about an hour. The ACFM is investigating the cause of the fire.
