130-blk Bryant Dr – House Fire

On Sunday afternoon, Stations 227, 223, 222, 225, 196 were alerted for a house on fire in the 130-blk of Bryant Dr. 223LT reported on scene with flames from front of the house and roof line. 227TK arrived on scene and crews advanced an attack line into the structure and immediately encountered fire on the first floor. 196RQ arrived on scene and crews advanced a secondary attack line to the second floor. 223EN and 222EN arrived and supported interior crews. 225TK arrived and was tasked to ladder the rest of the structure. Crews from 227TK & 225TK vented the roof. Primary and secondary searches were conducted. The homeowner arrived a short time later and confirmed no one was in the house. A family pet was unaccounted for, crews later found the animal deceased. No injuries were reported. The Penn Hills Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. The homeowner is receiving assistance from the American Red-cross.
