On Tuesday, shortly before midnight Station 227 was alerted for a vehicle accident in the 170-blk of Universal Rd. 227RQ arrived on scene and found a vehicle had struck a utility pole and a parked vehicle. The driver had fled the scene on foot down Universal Rd prior to FD arriving. The operator of the vehicle was apprehended a short time later by Penn Hills Police.
