On Tuesday evening station 227 was alerted to the 81 mile marker, east bound, I-376 at the request of 122RQ due to the accident being in the Penn Hills section of I-376.  Units arrived on scene to find that the driver of one vehicle got out and ran across the east bound lanes and jumped over the center divider and was struck by a vehicle in the west bound lanes.  Fire units from 227, 122, 195 assisted EMS with multiple patients and traffic control.  The entire parkway was closed for about 15 minutes.  Lane restrictions in both directions lasted about 60 minutes.  PSP is investigating the accident.
